The Felpéc Country House earned the title of Country House of the Year

The area of the Sokoróalja hills has preserved valuable treasures from its cultural traditions and built heritage, one of the most beautiful examples of which is the Felpéc Country House, which is under monument protection and has a museum institutional license. Part of the consciously structured activity is the rich program offer, which is realized with the active participation of the community and the involvement of volunteers - the communication reads.

As they write, the exemplary museum pedagogical activity of the country house also extends to the demonstration garden, the design of which is novel and at the same time to be followed in the field of the transmission of traditions. During the award ceremony, they also praised their cooperation with the educational institutions of the region and their cross-border activities.

The building, which faithfully reflects the folk architecture of the region, has a room-kitchen-pantry layout, a three-room, single-row layout.

During the renovation, great care was taken to restore and restore the walls built of earth, mud and clay, the earthen floor, the reed veneer, expertly applying traditional construction techniques, creating an overall authentic condition. The furnishing of the house and the design of the interior are also simple, puritanical, evoking the lifestyle of its authentic Lutheran inhabitants, the communiqué reminds us.

The Felpéc Country House is not only a properly restored folk monument and ethnographic collection, but also a popular venue for community, traditional events, where children can learn the knowledge of their grandparents' age, but the programs are also provided for adults. The building complex shows the decades-long professional attitude, so the main building of the country house, which was once a residential house in Felpéc, is in excellent condition - the summary says.

With the help of the Kubinyi Ágoston Program, the traditional press house building on the vineyard hill of the village was connected to the Felpécért Foundation's country house building complex with the associated vineyard and orchard. The press house further expands the possibilities of community use with its exhibition space and presentation with a special theme, and the possibility of outdoor pedagogical use.

The president of the Felpécért Foundation, Alajosné Dombi, received the Country House of the Year award on September 4, so within a year they managed to win two prestigious awards of the Country House Association - read in the announcement.
