If it's October, then it's not only autumn, but also a time change. For many, all this is abhorrent, because they feel the transition. How do we prepare ourselves for change?

You can not only mentally prepare for the difficulties of changing the clock in advance, but also physically. Changing the clock itself is an easy task, since in the case of modern devices it happens automatically, but it can affect the quality and length of our sleep, as well as our spiritual and mental well-being. To minimize this, it's good to do a few things in advance.

What you can do for yourself in advance is to think about how your body usually reacts to the current change. Knowing this, you can more easily find activities that will help you get through the period of change. Use breathing techniques or meditate and relax.

You can start tuning your body and mind to this change days in advance by trying to adjust to the new time calculation. Not immediately, but little by little. In other words, go to bed only a quarter of an hour earlier and try to act accordingly in everything else. The next day it should mean half an hour. By the time the actual clock adjustment comes around, your body will have already adjusted.

It must be accepted that the sun rises later and the natural light is less, but this autumn we have no complaints. In other words, it is very important that we not only stay outdoors as much as possible, but also let natural light into our homes. All of this affects the functioning of our biological clock.

They say that the cold seasons are great for sleeping in, but that doesn't mean we should go to bed early and sleep more. However, you must ensure that you get the recommended daily amount of sleep. Also, let's focus on its quality.

Less light here, cooler air there, let's also make sure that daily, active movement plays an important role in our lives. Whether it's walking or cycling, we can influence the quality of sleep and our own health with an active lifestyle. The same applies to nutrition. In addition to regular exercise, the consumption of healthy foods is at least as important.

For some people, this change is much more significant in their lives. They should be patient with themselves and give their organization time to get used to the new schedule.

The clock change isn't a big change, but it can wear on you. If we properly prepare for it, we can minimize possible inconveniences and adapt to the new time calculation more easily.
