In fact, our child can be anything that really suits them, that they can do with heart and soul. However, there is an age when a student has very little say in choosing a career.

Elementary school is one of the watersheds that largely determines the future path. THE

among the high school courses, there are also 6th and 8th grade classes, which means that before the start of 5th or 7th grade, we put them to a competition in order to be admitted to the selected class. If this is not an option, then the big question remains for the 8th grade: where to next?

It is okay if we raise children to be independent and not hold their hands all the time. Choosing a career path is a decision-making situation that also means that you may have to continue the next academic year in a new institution and that your repertoire will be expanded with knowledge of a completely different nature in addition to the general curriculum.

As parents, of course, we want our child to receive as stable an education as possible so that he can realize the career vision he has already imagined. And if there is no specific goal, the study should still be useful and give you some time to mature so that you can decide for yourself where you will go.

In my environment, it is completely common that the secondary school is chosen by the parents. If the child has serious intentions and wants to learn a profession, in addition to professional training, it is also important that the study ends with a high school diploma. The school-leaving certificate is now basic, so most parents don't mind if their child wants to study a profession, but it should also be accompanied by a school-leaving certificate.

When our children have no idea what they want to do as adults, most of us stick to high school education. Here, our kindergartener can learn more or less the basic subjects and concentrate on foreign languages, sports, and other activities. This leaves a few years for you to try as many things as possible and get as close as possible to formulating your own desire.

So the experience is that unless there is a consciously built and unshakable profession that our child wants to become from an early age, then the parent tries to decide. This mainly applies to the period after primary school. It is not worth forcing our own will on the children. In other words, let's remain open and supportive of the young person entering the already difficult adolescence. However, it is also worth clarifying that once we start something, we cannot change it overnight. That's why it's worth visiting the given institutions on an open day, asking acquaintances what kind of opportunities the given institution and the given profession have.

Many, many conversations can help a lot, during which the thoughts of even uncertain students can be clarified as to what is the right way and what they want to do in general.
